Elopement in Mauritius

They flew all the way from Europe to have their destination wedding on an Island.

Having an elopement in Mauritius and exchanging vows on a white sandy beach was a dream come true for Enes and Minara. They flew all the way from Europe so they can have their destination wedding on an Island. They stayed at the St Regis Mauritius Resort, a 5-star luxury Hotel. Their wedding planner from there, Jovanie Murden took care of everything for them. In fact they had a beautiful wedding arch on the beach, with a view between ocean and Le Morne mountain. The couple were hopelessly in love with all the moments our photographer captured throughout the day – from the calm getting ready hours and writing vows to the beautiful sunset photoshoot at the end to conclude the day.

The golden hour is our favorite moment of the day as it is the perfect time to take pictures. To start with, we go close to the sea, far from other people, where the couple can feel comfortable. Then we usually ask them to enjoy the sunset, just the two of them. To be themselves, to kiss if they want to, or take a walk in the water, as they are watching their first sunset as newlyweds.

Waterfall photoshoot in the south of Mauritius.

A must for the adventure seekers and ocean lovers!

Jayson & Bérengère wanted a photo trip around the south of Mauritius. Jayson is a local and his girlfriend Bérengère is from France. She comes regularly on the island for holidays, that’s where they met and they have been wildly in love ever since. It was only few days before Bérengère had to leave the island again and they wanted to have a photosession to have some great memories together. So we did a waterfall photoshoot in the south of Mauritius!

Tips: Photoshoot around Mauritius Island are becoming more popular. It’s a great way for tourists to visit the island and even have great pictures meanwhile.

The north is known for its numerous long white sandy beaches and it’s beautiful lagoon. The west for its water activities, for example swimming with wild dolphins and whales, or surfing. The south for its landscapes, forests, waterfalls and authenticity. The east for its golf courses and island’s trip on speed boats or catamaran.

They are both wanderlust, sharing a love of hiking mountains, chasing waterfalls and exploring the unique landscapes of Mauritius. Therefore the south of the island was more than perfect.

Our first stop was at Gris Gris beach early morning; a beautiful white sandy beach surrounded by cliffs formed by volcano rocks. One of the great thing about being there is that you don’t even think about the camera when you are there. You just enjoyed the scenery; the waves crashing onto the cliff, the colour of the blue turquoise water and if you are lucky, you might even see sea turtles!

Our next destination was Rochester Falls, very popular for it’s unique rectangular flank rocks and one of the widest waterfall in Mauritius!

Once you are there, it’s a breathtaking view with the water cascading from 10 meters high, crystal clear pool of water, and the lush of greeneries in the surrounding. It’s an ideal spot and hike for adventurers.

Luxury beach wedding in Mauritius.

Wedding featured on https://www.easyweddings.com.au.

With a love of the ocean and scuba diving, Danielle and Jacob planned a destination wedding at their favorite spot — Mauritius.

“We knew immediately that we wanted to get married in Mauritius. I’m half Mauritian, and the little island is half way between Australia and the UK, where our families are from.”

Danielle found their wedding planner and photographer Cedric on Instagram. Everything was set for a romantic wedding with guests from all over the world held at Villas Caroline in Mauritius.

“The weather was perfect! Our reception featured parts of our cultures with traditional Mauritian Sega dancing, traditional Scottish whisky toasts, and Irish dancing.”

The bride and the groom had their wedding preparations separately. They were both staying at Flic en Flac, on the west side of Mauritius, but in different villas.

They exchanged their vows on the beautiful sandy beaches of Mauritius.

Their exceptional wedding arch was made by https://www.lexiaweddingdesigner.com

Wedding portraits are always my favorite moment, specially when you have a beautiful sunset over the sea. As a photographer documenting wedding in Mauritius, I fell in love with the golden hour. Portraying the two lovers and giving a tropical touch to the colours of the images.
